Tandom is built by experienced logistics founders, previously backed by UPS, Mercado Libre, and other top venture funds. We've spent years automating enterprise workflows. Tandom is the foundational trade infrastructure layer we wish existed back when we were running ops ourselves.

Marcelo previously cofounded and led a logistics startup — scaling it to $30M in revenue, raising $20M, and exiting via acquisition by Nuvemshop (the Shopify of LatAm). The startup was backed by UPS, Mercado Libre, DHL Express (former US CEO), Qualcomm Ventures, Monashees, FJ Labs, Valor, and others. At Tandom he leads product.
CTO
Rafa is a repeat founder in AI/NLP automation, with 15+ years in engineering and product and 400+ enterprise workflow automations shipped. At Tandom he builds the shared infrastructure powering every product (auth, payments, the API platform).
Why we built it
International trade is run on PDFs, faxes, and people re-keying the same data into a dozen systems. Tariff rates change weekly. AD/CVD orders apply by manufacturer, not just HTS code. PGA requirements lurk inside table footnotes. Every miss costs margin or compliance exposure.
The brokers and importers we've worked with are technical enough — they have ERPs, TMSes, broker software, custom Excel sheets — but the source data they need to run those systems lives behind 1990s-era government surfaces or paid reference databases without an API. So they pay people to type.
Tandom is the layer that makes the data callable. Every Tandom product — duty calculator, AD/CVD intelligence, HTS classification, document intelligence, entry filing — is also an API. Use the products, or just call the endpoints from the systems you already run. Either way, the math, the scope, and the paperwork stop being a human bottleneck.
